Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha emphasized the importance of engaging local artists and incorporating the state’s traditional mixed culture in beautifying the road from Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport to Agartala City during a review meeting held on Tuesday at the Secretariat.
Dr Saha suggested prioritizing the traditional mixed culture of the state in this beautification project and highlighted the significance of involving local artists to enhance its appeal.
In the review meeting Dr Saha directed the project implementing authorities to ensure no compromise in the quality of beautification work. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of installing street lights along the Airport-Agartala road.
During the meeting, it was announced that an attractive foot overbridge will be constructed at Radhanagar Motor Stand in Agartala to alleviate congestion and facilitate pedestrian movement. This foot overbridge will feature a total of four escalators on both sides, with an allocated budget of Rs 5 crore 60 lakh for its construction.
