CM held meeting with MLAs, visits Astable ground for oath taking programme's inspection
In order to make the oath taking ceremony of the 2nd BJP government in Tripura, the ruling party is preparing to make the event a grand one with participation of thousands of people in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a host of top leaders of the country.
On Sunday, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha along with state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee, party’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra held a meeting with elected MLAs and defeated candidates and organizational leaders of the party to finalise the oath taking ceremony.
The Oath taking ceremony of BJP- IPFT government will take place on 8th March as the second stint of BJP has started in the state after BJP won in the Tripura Legislative Assembly Election 2023 on 2nd March.
The Caretaker Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha visited the Swami Vivekananda where he along with the high officials visited Swami Vivekananda Maidan to inspect the preparations for the upcoming oath ceremony on Sunday.
While speaking with the media persons, Dr Saha said that the last time the oath taking ceremony took place at Assam Rifles Ground and this time it will take place at the Swami Vivekananda Maidan. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will remain present in the oath taking ceremony on March 8th.
He also added that the all India BJP president JP Nadda will visit the state to take part in the ceremony. The Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also be there during the oath taking ceremony along with various other leaders of all India level.
Dr Saha further said that some Chief Ministers from some other states will also remain present in this programme on this day. Hence he along with other high officials, party members, Karyakartas and many others visited the ground. He added that they will visit the ground again and check all the facilities there.
The Chief Minister Professor Dr Manik Saha had earlier said that the second stint of BJP is a matter of time and it was on 2nd March the same was seen after the vote counting was done and the results were declared.
While, BJP's chief troubleshooter in the Northeast, Himanta Biswa Sarma had also visited the state on Saturday to enable a consensus candidate for the chief minister's post and has also finalized the preparation for the grand oath taking ceremony.
