Addressing a large gathering during felicitation of 737 Higher Secondary (HS) Passed students of 2021-22 academic years from 10 schools under Majlishpur assembly constituency at Gitanjali town hall in Rabir Bazar area on Sunday, Chief Minister said that students are the future of the country and society always looking on them as their success in life often contribute for better society.
Highlighting today's competition era, Dr Saha said that students should have knowledge in every subject and there is no alternative for hard work and they should, along with their regular academic activities, also stress on sporting and physical activities. Good health and good mind always lead to good success in life and students must respect their elders, especially their old parents, when today's students start their professional life, said Dr Saha. He also appealed to all students that they should continue their aim for success in life, but should make themselves as good citizens of the country.
Speaking in the programme, Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury requested all students should avoid shortcut ways to get success in life, because shortcut ways never give any ultimate success in life. He said that all students have a meritorious site in academic excellence, but need only hard work and they should not only pursue their dreams of becoming a doctor or engineer only, good citizen centric activities have also usher in a successful life.
He also advised the students not to stop their endavour if they get any failure, but should continue their academic activities with hard work as hard work always gives good results. The students can earn all through e=academic excellence and through good quality, said Chowdhury and added that all should give their best to their respective society.
During the programme, the principal of School of Science Abhijit Bhattacharjee and chairperson of Ranir Bazar Municipal Council, Prabir Kumar Das also delivered their speeches.
