Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha, on the occasion of Ganesh Puja, appealed to the opposition political parties in the state to embrace “good sense” and contribute to creating a positive and harmonious social environment.
Dr Saha inaugurating different Ganesh Puja pandal in Agartala on Sunday evening expressed hope that, with the blessings of Lord Ganesha, good sense would prevail among the opposition and everyone would move away from what he described as a negative and atheistic atmosphere towards an environment of faith, positivity and goodwill.
The Chief Minister said Ganesh Puja is not merely a religious ritual. Lord Ganesha is worshipped as the embodiment of knowledge, wisdom, good sense and auspiciousness. Therefore, he hoped that the sacred occasion would inspire wisdom, mutual harmony and cordial relations among people.
Addressing the opposition, Dr Saha said political differences may exist, but all sides should adopt a positive approach and work together in the larger interest of society and the people.
He also appealed to everyone to move beyond an atmosphere of atheism and work towards building a society based on faith, trust, ethics, values and mutual respect.
On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Puja, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha extended his wishes for the happiness, peace, prosperity and overall well-being of the people of Tripura.
