Congress very much optimistic over alliance with like minded parties, Mukul Wasnik
After the main opposition party expressed their confidence over seat adjustment or pre-poll alliance with another opposition Congress, the top AICC leaders on Thursday also said that they are very much hopeful over possible alliance to ensure the defeat of ruling BJP in assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference here at Congress Bhavan on Thursday afternoon senior AICC general secretary and MP Mukul Wasnik accompanied by observers for Tripura and PCC leader said that a team of AICC leaders including observer for Tripura, A S Lovely, AICC in-charge for Tripura Dr Ajoy Kumar and Abdul Khaleque attended series of meeting and reviews the preparation of the party for ensuing assembly elections, which is overwhelming .
Wasnik said that they had also attended meetings with all Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) leaders including block and district presidents. He said that the outcome meetings and spontaneous support of the state people towards Congress seems the new year 2023 will bring a new sunrise for Tripura.
He welcomed the decision of alliance with other like minded parties including principal opposition CPI(M) and regional Tipra-Motha party, said that if the alliance materializes, then definitely , the people of the state will be able to come out from the the ‘reign of terror’ sponsored by BJP.
He said BJP president JP Nadda arrived in the state on Thursday and tried to convince the people with falsehood to hide their five years long misdeed and a politics of suppression.
“The voice of Mr Nadda even not heard his own state people, then how can the people of Tripura will hear his false and fake promises,” said Wasnik and added that since first day of the BJP government till today, a total lawlessness prevails and there are no existence of the constitution of India, but Mr Nadda said that there are no instance of political murder. Whereas, on November 20, 2022 last one 76 years old political party worker Sahid Miah was brutally murdered by his people.
He alleged that everyday Tripura witnessing rape and gang rapes and asked where is the ‘good governance’ and claimed that a ‘reign of terror’ prevails across the state.
He also asked why not JP Nadda did not say anything about the state's high unemployment rate and where ‘Bike Bahini’ are rampantly attacking people and destroying their properties. He also alleged that ruling BJP totally failed to maintain their commitment and bring misery for common people.
Wasnik reiterated that talks are going with like minded parties to form a democratic alliance to ensure defeat of BJP and to restore rights of common people.
While speaking with press meet AICC in-charge Dr Ajoy Kumar said that Pradesh Congress has launched a WhatApp number -6909077707 and people of the state can lodge their complaint and send videos against hooliganism of BJP.
