Cooperative Minister inaugurates Longtharai’s Jolaibari retailers meet
The “Retailers’ Meet – 2025,” organized by Longtharai, was successfully held with great enthusiasm and excitement at the Jolaibari Community Hall in South Tripura district on Friday.
The event was inaugurated by the Minister of Cooperation, Shukla Charan Noatia, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Jolaibari Block Chairman, Tapas Dutta attended as the Special Guest. Representing Longtharai Company were its esteemed proprietor Ratan Debnath, General Manager Subrata Debnath, Marketing Manager Biswajit Saha, along with other officials. The presidium was adorned by Jadu Nandan Sarkar and Dhan Ranjan Debnath.
The Chief Guest, Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, along with other dignitaries, formally inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The inaugural song was presented by the artists of Binapani Sangeet Vidyapith.
In his address, the Minister highly appreciated Longtharai’s initiative. He assured that he would discuss with the State Agriculture Minister the possibility of producing the raw materials required for spice manufacturing within Tripura instead of sourcing them from outside the state. He also stated that the present government is offering special support to such industrial entrepreneurs, and he invited entrepreneurs from both within and outside the state to invest in Tripura.
Special Guest Shri Dutta expressed gratitude to the company’s proprietor upon learning that over 500 unemployed youths are currently employed at Longtharai Company.
During the event, six retailers were awarded commemorative mementos for being top sellers, and four ration dealers were also recognized for achieving the highest sales.
The programme concluded with a lucky draw for dealers. Apart from the first, second, and third prizes, ten consolation prizes were also distributed to the winners. More than 300 traders took part in the event, making it a remarkable gathering.
