Country made gun with smuggle wooden logs recovered
The Forest personnel engaged in the crackdown operation against wood smugglers across hill ranges of Baramura on Saturday got success and recovered a country made gun and large quantities of illegal wooden logs.
Sources said that based on secret information , Forest personnel posted at Teliamura Forest division raided the deep interiors of Balucherra jungles under Baramura hill ranges on Saturday morning.
Sensing the presence of Forest personnel, two tribal youths with stolen logs of trees, who were moving towards their village in by-cycles left the spot leaving their bicycles and wooden logs.
When the Forest team launched a search operation, they found a country-made gun along with bicycles and wooden logs. They immediately informed the matter to the Teliamura police station.
After reaching the spot , police recovered the country-made gun loaded with bullets.
Police sources said that based on complaint of Forest officials, police registered a specific case and started an investigation to identify the miscreants involved with smuggling of trees.
