CPI (M), Congress dismisses exit polls results and claimed it as ‘motivated and paid’
Dismissing the results of assembly polls shown in different exit polls, the opposition CPI(M) claimed that these exit poll results are only ‘imaginary, motivated and paid polls’.
Speaking in a social media platform, CPI(M) state secretary Jitendra Chaudhury shared his opinion over exit poll results and claimed that they are not correct and people of the state are determined to oust BJP government and voted largely to restore democracy in the state, which will reflect on March 2nd after announcement of poll results.
He also called upon party workers and supporters not to be confused by the results predicted as these are paid and fabricated, which do not have any ground reality.
The people across the state stood in long queues till late in the night to exercise their democratic right to franchise on February 16 assembly polls , which will not ensure a BJP victory and people protested the five yearlong mis-governance, violence and suppression of democratic rights by giving them befitting reply through their democratic rights, said Chaudhury.
He said that from 2018, BJP had captured all rural and civic bodies by capturing votes and made all elections into a farce. People were in apprehension that they would be able to cast their votes through their own hands, but people of the state and Election Commission of India(ECI) have ensured and protected voting rights of common people.
Despite large-scale violence and atrocities and the muscle and money power of BJP, more than 90% of voters cast their votes by defeating all threats and intimidation of the ruling party, said Chaudhury.
After February 16 assembly polls, a hope of freedom and enthusiasm seen among people of the state, which had not reflected in the so-called ‘exit polls’, claimed Chaudhury and added that people of the state has already understand money power of BJP and they are not attracted with the outcome of bogus exit poll results.
He also condemned the ‘fictitious exit poll’ conducted by a group of professors of the MBB university and questioned their authority to indulge in such an exercise. “The only way for BJP to win is to manipulate the EVMs which is not scientifically possible and capturing of votes, which they were unable to do so," said Chaudhury and added that the BJP is spreading these unfounded rumours only to boost up the morale of their party workers and supporters.
Senior Congress leader and MLA Sudip Roy Barman also denounced the ‘made up exit poll results telecast by some national media and claimed it’s a money power of BJP to keep up the morale of their workers and supporters. He assured all party workers and supporters to remain firm in their belief and duties as there is no chance for the BJP to win the election in Tripura as people of the state voted for a freedom from oppression and violence politics.
