CPI (M) leaders calls to oust of BJP government to restore peace and democracy in Tripura
The presence of massive gathering of peace loving people shows that despite many attempts of violence, threats and forceful obstructions, people of Tripura defying all are supporting CPI(M) and they are determined to oust the BJP led government in next election by restoring the peace and democracy in the state, said CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury.
Addressing a massive gathering of CPI(M) workers and supporters here at Vivekananda stadium on Friday afternoon Sitaram Yechury said that with today’s massive rally people with democratic process and peacefully manner are giving their warning to the Modi government that if you are not working for the people, then you have to return back to your home.
"Our PM visiting in poll bound states and declaring new announcements with fake promises, the ECI announced poll schedules for Himachal Pradesh, but do not declared the poll dates for Gujarat assembly elections because BJP could declare populist schemes for voters in that state," said Yechury and added that like other states Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also visit Tripura where polls are due early next year, in a week to assure its people to demises their anger against anti-people BJP government.
Yechury alleged the Modi government is now declaring populist schemes before the people of Gujarat to woo the voters, but they will fail to repeat the same in Tripura as people understand their fake and violence politics.
Yechuri virtually kicked off opposition CPI(M) campaign for the 2023 assembly elections by addressing the mass gathering also said that Amul increased the prices of milk at Rs. 2 per litre for the entire country, but Gujarat giving relief to Gujarat and BJP are luring people with lucrative assurance to collect votes.
He hoped that this time BJP will not get any success as people of the state are now ready to give them a befitting reply for their deprived and violence politics.
Casting the Modi government poor economic condition and high inflation of the country, Yechury said they waived the loan amount of 11 lakh crore for their corporate friends in last eight years due to their poll politics and appeasement policies for corporate, which have destroyed the economy of the country and increasing burden on poor people. He said that the government has no control over inflation ,hunger diseases are increasing in India, But is busy selling national properties and looting the assets of the country.
They made a perception in the country they are losing elections, but will form a government by purchasing MLAs from opposition parties and if the opposition MLAs are not ready then using their resources like ED, CBI and money power, BJP will defeat the people’s mandate, alleged Yechury.
He urged the people to remain very vigilant against poll gimmicks of BJP and to protect the country, people have to restore democracy in Tripura.
While addressing the gathering opposition leader Manik Sarkar urges people and all democratic and secular forces to be united for greater movement of the state. He also said that for the next assembly election flight people should sit idle in their homes and they have created strong resistance against violent and hatred politics of BJP.
Sarkar also said that ruling BJP has lost their bases, which was reflected when they changed the face of Chief Minister just ten months before the assembly elections. Sarkar through his clarion calls has also appealed to the people to strengthen their movements to restore the democracy in the state.
Addressing the gathering CPI(M) state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury urged the people to turn high their flag into ‘Dandas’ (clubs or lathis) and should resist the terror unleashed by the BJP across the state against people.
He said that the four year rule of former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb was the ‘darkest period’ in Tripura’s history but ‘there has been no improvement in the situation under the rule of new chief minister Dr Manik Saha. He also challenged the state government to release the white paper over their Vision Document’s commitment made before last assembly elections.
