CPI (M) opened bank account, UIP ID for donations
In order to meet high expenditures of assembly elections, the opposition CPI (M) on Thursday went digital by creating an UPI ID for donations.
Addressing a press conference here at COI(M) headquarters on Thursday afternoon CPI(M) state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury said that their party often run the political and election expenditures through self-contribution of their party supporters , well wishers and from contribution from general section of the society instead of corporate funding like ruling BJP.
So, party has opened a bank account at the Agartala branch of State Bank of India (SBI) with account number-41383581719 (IFSC Code-SBIN0000002) and created Unified Payment Interface Identity (UPI ID) through QR code, said Chowdhury. He also appealed to the people of the state to generously contribute whatever they want to donate to the party fund for their fight against BJP.
