CPI (M) to organize statewide movements from Oct 24 against state govt

Opposition CPI (M) strongly condemns the alleged appeasement politics of the ruling party and claims that the government safeguarding drug smugglers for their political interest.
Addressing a press conference CPI (M) state secretary and leader of opposition (LoP), Jitendra Chaudhury accompanied by senior party leaders Manik Dey and Radhacharan Debbarma at party headquarters in Agartala on Wednesday afternoon said that people of the state become fed up with misrule of the BJP led government in Tripura.
Chaudhury alleged that the coalition government of Tripura has destroyed the economy of the state along with destruction of the young generation through drug menaces, which has been allegedly controlled by a section of ruling party leaders.
He also alleged that atrocities on women across the state are increasing day by day along with institutional corruption with involvement of top leaders including ministers.
He said that in protest of the ongoing state of affairs and against misrule of BJP government,
CPI (M) will be launched in different parts of the state from October 24 to October 31 with a three point charter of demands. The party will organize a public meeting to be held in Agartala on October 24.
“Drug trafficking is increasing in different parts, the role of the police is completely undermined, the drug trafficking in the Jirania area has been completely undermined, whose drugs were recovered from two wagons of Indian Railway,” said Chaudhury.
Highlighting different corruption with alleged involvement of ruling party leaders, said that people of the state will not tolerate such kind of mis-governance for long run and will organize mass movements across the state against the government.
Speaking over Thursday’s Bandh called by a NGO, head by former ATTF rebel leader and Tipra-Motha MLA Ranjit Debbarma, Chaudhury said that the state is showing a complete drama to the people and the fight between the BJP and the head in the ADC area is only showing drama to the people, friendship upstairs and quarrels downstairs are only showing the people.
He said that BJP and Tipra-Motha are from the same family, one destroying the state and another collapsing the Autonomous District Council (ADC) administration.
