Police sought a three-day remand for further interrogation. OC expressed hope that questioning during the remand period would yield crucial information regarding the drug trafficking network and its associates.

The OC stated that similar drives against narcotics, illegal trade, and criminal activities would continue in the future.

It may be recalled here that, several operations conducted in different parts of the Sonamura Subdivision in recent months have resulted in the recovery of significant quantities of contraband and intoxicants. These incidents have raised fresh concerns among local residents over the growing nexus of drug and narcotics trafficking. Many locals believe that the easy availability of intoxicants is posing a serious threat to public safety, particularly among the youth.
