ECI full bench coming today to asses poll preparedness
The full team of Election Commission of India (ECI) along with three commissioners including Chief Election Commission (CEC) Rajiv Kumar, Election Commissioners Anup Chandra Pandey and Arun Goel and all other deputy commissioners will arrive in the state on January 11th morning for two days state visit .
Official sources said that the ECI team comprising 16 members will review all preparedness of the state election department for ensuing assembly polls and three members commission of ECI after attending series of meeting with top officials, security officials, representatives of different political parties, the ECI team on January 12 will leave the state towards Meghalaya.
Soon after arrival in the city , the ECI team including Chief Election Commission (CEC) Rajiv Kumar, Election Commissioners Anup Chandra Pandey and Arun Goel will interact with representatives of different political parties.
The Election department said that the full bench of ECI during their assessment for poll preparedness, will attend in a SVEEP programme at Ujjayanta palace premises on January 12 morning and will hold a press meet at the hall number-2 of Ranindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala.
On January 12 afternoon, ECI team will visit Meghalaya and Nagaland on January 12 to 15 and the team will return back to New Delhi on January 15.
Sources said that after assessing the poll preparedness in three Northeastern states, there are chances that the Commission will announce the poll schedules for three Northeastern states including Tripura on January 18 next.
