Family-oriented politics will not work anymore: CM
BJP will go door to door for people’s welfare, no one can stop: CM
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Sunday slammed the Communists for their long reign marked by murder, violence, and terrorism.
He also said that no one has the power to stop the Bharatiya Janata Party.
“The Bharatiya Janata Party will go to every person and go door to door for the welfare of the people,” said Dr Saha.
Dr Saha said this while addressing a huge public meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party organized in South Taibandal of Sepahijala district on Sunday.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr Saha said, “Seeing the presence of a large number of people here today, it seems that the excitement has started around the elections to be held in the TTAADC in 2026. Tomorrow is Republic Day as soon as night falls. But now there is no monarchy. Now there is democracy and a republic. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not come from a royal family. He is a tea seller. January 26 is the day of the Constitution that was established because of this democracy. That is why today a tea seller is the Prime Minister of the country. We have seen what has happened to family-oriented parties in different states. Individual-oriented politics will not work anymore. People have understood. In a democracy, people have the last word. If they do not do good work, they will be thrown out with a snap of their fingers.”
The Chief Minister said today is a significant day as it is National Voters’ Day.
“I welcome those who have completed 18 years. Not only Tripura, but the whole of India is in their hands. So it is important to understand who will run this state or country in the future. Many local parties have come up saying ‘Tiprasa Tiprasa’ for so long. But we have seen that nothing has worked. Rather, these parties have been formed for the personal interests of each and every one,” he said.
Dr Saha said that the government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working for the overall welfare of the tribals.
“He is working with priority for the development of the tribals. We have also given priority to the development of the tribals in the same way. The Prime Minister says that India will not develop unless the North Eastern region is developed. Today he has given the diamond model to the North Eastern region, whereas earlier the North Eastern region was troubled by the problem of extremism,” said Dr Saha.
The Chief Minister also said at the meeting that during the time when extremists were created, especially in Tripura, a section of tribals were misled and pushed towards extremism. After the BJP government came to power, they were brought back into the mainstream.
“We are helping them financially, and we are making arrangements for their rehabilitation. And if someone else comes in between and takes that opportunity, people have understood this very well. If tribals have to be developed, if Tripura and the North Eastern region have to be kept in peace, then only the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi can do it,” said Dr. Saha.
The meeting was attended by Bharatiya Janata Party’s Pradesh General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, MLA Jitendra Majumdar, MLA Bindu Debnath, former MP Rebati Tripura, Pradesh BJP Secretary David Debbarma, and others.
