Five more Bangladeshi arrested with fake Aadhar cards from Udaipur Railway station
The infiltrators seem to have changed their tactics and now using Udaipur to board long distance trains as the Railway Police become hyperactive in Agartala station. The new tactics was exposed today when five more citizens of the neighbouring country including three women were arrested by the security personnel from Udaipur railway station before boarding a Kolkata bound train and another youth arrested from Bishalgarh.
After unrest in Bangladesh, the infiltration into the Northeastern states especially in Tripura and Assam has continued and in the last two months, above 1400 Bangladesh nationals and hundred plus Rohingyas were arrested by security forces from different borders of the state.
Official sources said that the Government Railway Police (GRP) have detained four Bangladeshi nationals and seized fake Aadhaar cards from them while they were en route to Bangalore from Udaipur Railway Station in Gomati District on Thursday, who were trying to board Kanchenjunga express .
Police sources said that based on a tip-off, the GRP detained the Bangladeshi nationals, including three females and one male, from Udaipur Railway Station this morning as they were heading to Bangalore via Kolkata.
Police have seized Aadhaar cards from them and a mobile phone and suspecedt the Aadhaar cards are fake; however, they are investigating.
Police added that they entered India illegally to travel to Bangalore via Sealdah in West Bengal and with help of tout, they crossed the international border at Belonia in South Tripura district illegally and reached Udaipur to board the Kanchanjunga express.
As per the Aadhaar cards, the females were identified as Mitu Biswas, Rafiza Aktar, and Narsima Aktar.
The GRP handed them over to Udaipur police station for further legal proceedings.
In another incident, the local people of ‘Rastarmatha’ area of Gokulnagar under Bishalgarh subdivision of Sepahijala district detained suspected Bangladeshi youth and during police interrogation, he revealed his identity as Amid Miah of Syllet district of Bangladesh entered into Indian territory about weeks ago for job purposes illegally through Kamalasagar border.
It may be recalled here that the bordering Tripura, which is a top hotspot travelling destination for human trafficking, specially for Rohingyas and Bangladesh nationals, who were illegally entered into Indian territory and moves towards other parts of the country through different means of surface communication with help of Indian and Bangladeshi touts, but many time, the alert security forces have also managed to detain them.
Officials said that all the Bangladeshis and Rohingyas illegally entered Tripura to board trains or buses to go to other states in India “in search of jobs”.
