Five stolen motorcycles recovered within 24-hours, 2 bike lifters arrested
In a significant success, Amtali police within 24-hours have recovered five stolen scooties and motorbikes after interrogation of an arrested notorious bike lifter.
While, based on the interrogation statement of the arrested thief, police on Sunday arrested another bike lifter and recovered two more stolen motorbikes under his possessions.
On Saturday, police arrested a notorious bike lifter from Ashwani market area under Amtali police station of West Tripura district and recovered stolen two scooties and a motorbike from his house.
Police said that based on the complaint filed by one Sukanta paul of Hapania area over stolen his scooty, the, a team of Amtali police station started an investigation and by reviewing all CCTV footage, they have managed to identify the suspected bike lifter.
Based on the information, police in the early hours of Saturday raided the house of one Kamal Dey at Ashwani market area under the same police station and recovered the stolen scooty of Sukanta Paul.
During the raid , police had also recovered two more stolen bikes and a scooty from his house.
Bike lifter Kamal Dey , who is in police custody and during interrogation, revealed the information of his associates and based on his interrogation statements, police on Sunday arrested another bike lifter Suman Namo from Amtali and recovered two more stolen and numberless motorbikes under his possession.
