Former Chief Justice of HC, Akil Kureshi inaugurates the 2nd Intra-Moot Court Competition at NLU
Under the visionary guidance of Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, the National Law University (NLU), Tripura has successfully organized its second two days Intra-Moot Court Competition, inaugurated with an inspiring address by former Chief Justice of Tripura Mr. Justice Akil Kureshi.
The competition, starting on 12th April, 2025 successfully ended with its final round being judged by a three judges bench comprising of Mr. Justice S. G. Chattropadhyay (Retd.) along with Retired District and session Judge Mr. A. K. Nath and Government Lawyer, High Court of Tripura, Mr. Kohinur Bhattacharrya. The penal of semifinal and preliminary Judges of the Moot Court competition was also graced by the academicians from different legal institutions; and prominent practising lawyers from both the Lower Courts as well as High court of the State of Tripura, ensuring that the students gets a wider and blended theoretical and pragmatic exposure of the modus operandi of Litigation. Prof. Singh, appreciating the art of Mooting as the very essence of legal education and research in all NLUs across the nation at his closing remarks ensured that the NLU Tripura shall always endeavour to promote the all-round betterment of legal education in the State of Tripura. The Vice Chancellor also thanked the Moot Court Society and its. faculty advisor Dr.Ripon Bhattacharjee for successfully organising the event.
