Former CM Biplab Deb narrowly survives car accident on Delhi-Chandigarh road
Former Chief Minister and incumbent Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb narrowly survived a major road accident on Monday on the GT Road in between Delhi and Panipath in Haryana.
Sources said Biplab Kumar Deb had suffered minor injuries though the car in which he had been travelling was twisted and turned by the crash. Even though the details of how the accident took place are still not available.
Sources added that Biplab Deb had been going by a car from Delhi to Chandigarh in connection with his party work as ‘Pravari’ (in-charge) in Haryana. When his vehicle was moving along the GT Road in Panipath district it was pushed hard by a speeding truck and virtually overturned on the road .
After the accident local people immediately rushed to the spot and rescued Biplab and the driver from the vehicle. After treatment in a nearby hospital Biplab Deb was released. No more details are still not available.
