This is for the first time in the history of Tripura Bar Council, a big batch of 420 newly passed out lawyers were given enrollment for practicing as lawyers of the state.
The enrollment ceremony was held at Agartala at Bar Council office complex on Saturday, where Advocate General Shaktimoy Chakraborty, chairman of Tripura Bar Council, Ratan Datta, many senior advocates including Pijush Kanti Biswas and several other advocates from the legal fraternity were present along with newly enrolled advocates.
After enrolment ceremony, speaking with media persons, chairman of Tripura Bar Council, Ratan Dutta, stated that during his period as chairman of Bar Council approximately 1000 lawyers have received their certificates over the years and today's programme was the biggest enrolment in the history of Bar Council, where a total of 420 law passed graduates were enrolled as advocates. “This certification is crucial for new lawyers, as it allows them to begin practicing with a valid license,” he said.
