Honor to Bengali language reflects PM Modi's sincere cultural vision: CM
Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Friday said that the honor given to the Bengali language reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s deep sincerity towards Bengali language and culture.
“It is a matter of great joy and a glorious chapter for the entire Bengali community. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recognized this. As a Bengali, I am very proud of this historic decision taken by the Prime Minister. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the entire nation, including Bengalis, for the landmark decision to recognize the rich cultural heritage of the Bengali language. This honor reflects the Prime Minister's deep sincerity towards the Bengali language and culture,” he said.
He further mentioned that small efforts, like the donation of clothes, have been undertaken to bring smiles to the faces of mothers and sisters during the Durga Puja celebrations.
“It is an important part of social responsibility. Everyone rejoices during the Puja. This is a small effort to share that joy with all those who are our mothers and sisters. At the very least, it will bring a smile to their faces,” said Dr Saha.
Dr Saha said this while attending a clothes distribution programme organized in Ward No. 34 of Agartala Municipal Corporation on Friday, an initiative led by Bardowali Mandal.
“On the occasion of Sharadiya Durgotsava, efforts have been made this year as well to give small gifts to mothers within the AMC wards. For this purpose, today’s initiative was undertaken in Ward No. 34. Essentially, it brings peace of mind,” he added.
Bardowali Mandal President Sanjay Saha, AMC Corporator Janhbi Das Chowdhury, and others were present at the event.
