Huge quantities of dry Ganja seized from Dhalai district, 4 arrested
Under direction of Election Commission of India (ECI) and in continuation of tight vigil across the state by security forces, the state police on Wednesday seized a huge consignment of 1202 kg of dry cannabis (Ganja) during Naka checking at Ganganagar under Dhalai district, which estimated value was said to be Rs.3.5 crores
The counting of votes for the General Election to Tripura Legislative Assembly - 2023 will be done on 2nd March, 2023 amid tight security. The Election Commission has taken various steps across the state to make General Election to Tripura Legislative Assembly - 2023 fair, free, peaceful and violence free.
The Election department sources said that on the basis of the secret information received by the police, two vehicles going from Gandacherra to Assam have been seized by the police during Naka checking in Ganganagar, in which a car and a 6 wheelers truck. A total of 105 kg dry Ganja seized from the car registration number TR01BK0723 and 1097 kg dry Ganja seized from the truck registration number DL1GC4808 and four people including the driver involved have been detained. The police have registered this entire matter under the NDPS Act and further legal action is going on.
