After submission of his nomination papers,  Ashish Kumar Saha claimed that former Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student union leader and Youth Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar, who was scheduled to join campaigning for INDIA alliance candidates in Tripura, was rejected permission by the local authority to join the rally on Tuesday midnight.

He said that people of the state as well as the voters of the country now ready to give a suitable reply to BJP for their 10 years of misrule

National spokesperson of Congress, Supriya Shrinate termed BJP as "anti-national" and said, "We are INDIA alliance. Call it India or anything else, the name doesn't matter, it is our motherland. Respecting your mother is very important. Those who can't respect mothers are anti-national and people will punish them".

She also said the Congress has found a "strong alliance" among INDIA partners and said that people would reject the ruling BJP and the party would not be able to cross 200 seats, let alone 400 as the saffron party is often heard raising slogans of "Abki Baar, 400 Paar".

Speaking with media persons, leader of the opposition and CPI (M) state secretary Jitendra Chaudhury said that INDIA Bloc parties are fighting to protect the constitution and democracy  of the country against BJP, who has looted the country for the last ten years. He said that the BJP government in centre is not leaving any stone unturned through their undemocratic activities to suppress the voices of opposition, but they will not have any success as people of the country now ready to abolish their miseries sponsored by BJP.
