Left-Congress always promote violence, corruption, but BJP gives guarantee for development: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an election rally at Vivekananda stadium (Astable) ground asserted he understand that people of Tripura will again form the BJP government as the party gives guaranty for development, whereas Left-Congress alliance always promote violence, corruption and tried to keep people poor.
After two big election rallies in Ambassa and Udaipur on February 11 last, the Prime Minister on Monday afternoon arrived in Agartala and addressed another big rally at Astable ground in support of 20 party candidates under West Tripura district.
Modi in his third election rally said that the Left and Congress are doing 'kushti' (fight) in Kerala and 'dosti' (friendship) in Tripura. He said that in 2018, the people of the state oust the ‘Chanda’ (donation) regime and ensured the ‘double-engine’ government of Tripura to restore peace and development.
‘After five years rule, the aspiration of the people has been fulfilled and they are now ready to form the second BJP government in Tripura,’ said Modi, while castigating the alliance of Left and Congress said that many people belonging to the Congress party were killed by the Left cadres in Tripura. The victim Congress family members would never vote for the Left parties. He also urged the people to reject the unholy alliance for the betterment of Tripura.
He added that during the Left regime "Chanda" (donation) collection was the only job of the Left cadres, who treated the people of Tripura as their "Ghulams" (servants). "Cadre Raj prevailed in the police station to trade and business and if anyone hoisted flags other than CPI (M) they were attacked. Left had only one point agenda collecting donations from people and threatening the poor to suppress their rights.
The BJP removed the red signal by defeating Left parties in the 2018 elections and now again, the Left parties and Congress want to keep Tripura backward and the people to remain poor, said Modi.
“Tripura king Radha Kishore Manikya and Rabindranath Tagore shows Tripura a path of progress and development and BJP taking their footprints are also giving good governance to the people of Tripura,”, said Modi and added that these two great persons wanted a society, where every rights poor should be protected and maintaining the same legacy and tradition, the BJP also ensuring peace, development and protection all rights for poor.
He said BJP left no stone unturned to develop Tripura and claimed that there is no family in the state that has not received the benefits of BJP's good governance.
Referring the corrupt practices of previous governments, Modi said that the Left and the Congress looted Central funds. "One Congress Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi earlier himself confessed that only 15 paisa of the Centre's one rupee reached the people." But after the BJP government formed 100 of 100 paisa directly reached the bank accounts of the poor, said Modi.
Highlighting the performance of the double engine governments, he said that the Ayushman Bharat Yojana provided the best cashless treatment to the people. The Prime Minister also said that Tripura topped in the country in providing concrete houses to the people under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PAY), the Prime Minister said that Rs 500 crore was transferred directly to the farmers' account as the BJP government started procurement of rice since it came to power in the state. With the initiative of the Tripura government, fruits were exported, benefiting the farmers.
He said that an IIIT, National Forensic University, National Law University, international Buddhist University are being set up in Tripura and added that development of the tourism infrastructure is underway and can boost employment.
To ensure the bright future of the coming generations people should remain alert against the disastrous plan of the Congress and Left parties, said Modi and added that the BJP government's HIRA (Highway, I-way, Railway and Airway) model would boost the income and creation of jobs.
He also praised the efforts of the government for making the Agartala airport is the most modern airport in the entire Northeast region and also said that most of the work on the Indian side of the Agartala-Akhaura railway project has been completed and it is continuing on the Bangladesh side and the new railway project would help Tripura and the other Northeastern states in a big way.
The Prime Minister said that the "Maitri" bridge over the river Feni will boost up bilateral trade with neighbouring countries and make Tripura a hub in Southeast Asia.
He hoped that BJP will return again to power with more votes and also appealed to the people of the state to vote in favour of BJP candidates.
