Major administrative reshuffle: 50 police Inspectors, 4 Sub-Inspectors transferred

In a major administrative reshuffle, altogether 50 police Inspectors, mostly are officer-in-charge (OC) of different police and four more Sub-Inspectors (SIs) were transferred by the office of the Director General of Police (DGP) on Thursday and issued order of their movement should be completed by July 19 next.

Among prominent transfers includes the transfers of OCs of the both East Agartala and West Agartala police stations along with transfer of the OCs of Amtali, AD Nagar, Jirania etc police stations under West Tripura district.

As per the transfer order, incumbent OC of East Agartala police station, Rana Chatterjee has been transferred as OC of West Agartala police station replacing Paritosh Das, who has been posted as new OC of Amtali police station.

Incumbent OC of Jatrapur police station under Sepahijala district has been transferred as new OC of East Agartala police station in Agartala, Rajib Debnath transferred from Teliamura police station to Kailashahar police station.

Controversial police inspector and OC of Bishalgarh police station , Sanjit Sen has been transferred to DIB wing at North Tripura district. OC of Amtali police station, Himadri Sarkar posted as new OC of Sidhai police station, while, women Inspector and OC of West Agartala Women police station, Swasti Das transferred as OC of Bishalgarh women PS  by replacing Inspector Shiuli Das, who will now look after the charges of OC of West Agartala women PS.

Most prominently, Inspector Tapash Das, incumbent OC Government Railway Police (GRP) station at Agartala Railway station , known for his tremendous services for arresting illegal infiltrators including Bangladeshi and Rohingyas and bursting one after one network of human traffickers and drug trade network, has been transferred as  OC of Teliamura police station.

OC of Jirania police station, Raju Datta transferred as new OC of Santir Bazar police station and OC of Bishramganj police station, Subimal Debnath, now posted as new OC of Jirania PS, while, Inspector Raju Bhowmik , incumbent  OC of Kakrabon police station transferred  as new OC of GRP station at Agartala railway station.
