Manik Sarkar urges voters defying all threats to ensure victory of LF candidates
Strengthening the by-poll campaigns against BJP candidates both in Boxanagar and Dhanpur assembly constituencies, former Chief Minister and CPI(M) politburo member Manik Sakar through number small election rallies urged the voters to ensure defeat of BJP candidates to launch the ‘BJP Hatao, Desh Bachao’ campaign by all opposition parties before 2024 general elections.
Manik Sarkar addressing election rallies at Aralia area of 20-Boxanagar assembly constituency in support of Left Front candidate Mizan Hussain, third son former MLA Samsul Haque alleged that miseries of common people of the state were increasing day by day increasing during five and half years rule of two BJP governments.
“The statewide violence , atrocities and attack on opposition supporters started since March, 2018 has been continuing till date and basic rights of people have been suppressed by the BJP government even their political rights have also been snatched away by miscreants,” said Sarkar.
During the period of first BJP government in Tripura, a total 26 CPI(M) leaders and workers were murdered and thousands party workers were physically attacked, their properties ransacked or burnt down into ashes, alleged Sarkar and added that after winning of 2023 assembly elections, the ruling BJP has also continuing their violent politics against opposition supporters.
Highlighting the developmental activities of the Left Front governments in Tripura, Sarkar said that Tripura is among the few states of the country, which has a power surplus state, but now people are suffering from frequent power cuts. He alleged that the public distribution system (PDS) has collapsed and people are suffering to earn their two squares of meals in absence of jobs.
Sarkar also claimed that law and order totally collapsed and Tripura become the safe haven of drug abuses, which destroying lives of hundreds of youths daily,
The BJP governments have been working against people's interests since the beginning and the government does not care about the working-class people and only thinks about corporate interests, said Sarkar.
Sarkar also said that BJP has also spread communal hatred and is taking one after one steps against religious minorities. Mentioning the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Sarkar said that the BJP government has also planned for Uniform Civil Code to continue their attacks against Muslim communities.
He asked if the BJP government ensuring good governance then why they changed the chief minister and claimed that people of the state has given positive response over the calls of opposition parties and ensure 61% of votes in 2023 assembly elections, but due to division of anti-BJP votes, BJP managed to formed to government only with 39% of votes.
Addressing another election rally at Taibandal area of 23-Dhanpur assembly constituency in support of Left Front candidate, Sarkar appalled to the voters of Kaushik Chanda, Sarkar urged the vote to give message to entire nation by securing victory of LF candidate to give their mandate against division politics of BJP.
He also urges the voters to cast their valuable votes in groups on September 5th by-polls by defying all threats and attacks of the ruling party to ensure the victory of both CPI(M) candidates in Boxanagar and Dhanpur assembly seats.
