More leaders to join Tipra-Motha to strengthen Tipraland demand, Pradyot
Before the ensuing 2023 assembly elections in Tripura, the regional Tipra-Motha will not leave any stone unturned to win the elections to fulfill their main demand of ‘greater Tipraland’, said Tipra-Motha’s chairman Pradyot Kishore Debbarma.
Addressing a press meet here at Manikya Court on Saturday afternoon, where after resigning from Tripura assembly, former IPFT MLA from Raima Valley constituency (Gandacherra) Dhananjay Tripura on Saturday formally joined Tipra-Motha along with hundreds of supporters and leaders from Raima Valley.
Pradyot said that one malicious propaganda has been campaigning against their party by spreading false narrative that Motha is a communal party, but in reality the Motha only wants development of Autonomous District (ADC) areas and its people irrespective of caste and creed.
"I am from the family, which has given patronage to Rabindranath Tagore and lakhs of refugees, ", said Pradyot and added that nowadays the politics of regional parties has been changed and more and more people are strengthening the movements of Tipra-Motha.
He said more leaders from different political parties will soon join Tipra-Motha and strengthen their movements for ‘greater Tipraland’.
He once again reiterated that if the government of India wants for dialogue , they are ready for that and the government has to assure them in writing for greater Tipraland. He said that they are not against any political party, but will not repeat the politics, which had been formed before last 2018 assembly elections.
He also appealed to the government that they are elected representatives and the government should invite them for dialogue, especially the Union Home Ministry to fulfill their demands.
Pradyot again reiterated that Motha will contest the 2023 assembly elections of its own and will not take a single penny from political parties like the BJP, CPI(M) or from Congress.
Speaking in the press meet former IPFT MLA Dhananjoy Tripura alleged that ruling BJP did nothing for the development of 12 lakh tribal populations of the state and strengthen the movements led by Pradyot Kishore, he has decided for resignation.
"We will work for 12 lakh Tiprasa under the leadership of Maharaja and will strengthen the ‘Dopha’ (society) to fulfill the dream of greater Tipraland, " said elated Dhananjoy.
He also said that there are no politics remaining in ruling alliance IPFT as the guardian of the party is now battling for his life due to illness.
Tripura said that with the so-called package for ADC, the development for indigenous people will not come into reality else they are now empowered with separate state status. Former IPFT MLA has also asked why not a smart city project for Khumulwng, if the present BJP government wants to develop the socio-economic status of the tribal.
