Mukhyamantri Samipeshu: CM assures assistance for treatment of a girl child from Khowai

The only earning son of Pratibharani Pal, resident of South Phulbari in Churaibari of North Tripura district is now undergoing treatment in GBP Hospital after being hit severely in a road accident. Finding no other way to cover the expense of her son’s treatment, widowed Pratibharani Pal had requested assistance from Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha in ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ programme at his official residence on Wednesday.

The Chief Minister asked the concerned officials to do the needful. People from different parts of the state have assembled at the Chief Minister’s residence for ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ programme, where the Chief Minister gets acquainted with different issues the public is facing and then directs the officials to resolve those issues respectively.

Mira Jamatia, a resident of Khowai also met the Chief Minister hoping for assistance for her 2-year-old girl child who is presently suffering from soft tissue swelling since a few days after she was born. It was learned that Mrs. Jamatia had taken her daughter outside the state quite a few times for her treatment. She needs to be taken outside the state again after 2 months. Mrs. Jamatia, being a nurse, could not afford to cover the cost of her daughters’ treatment. Learning about her situation, the Chief Minister assured of assistance to solve her problem and had also directed the officials to look after the matter. A resident of Dhaleshwar and an auto-rickshaw driver by profession, Goutam Debnath had also met the Chief Minister today asking for assistance for his wife suffering from cancer. The Chief Minister then directed the concerned officials to do the needful.

Jobless teacher Sukhendu Debnath along with his family had also come to meet the Chief Minister. Mr. Debnath has been suffering from cancer for the past three years. Due to the financial crisis, neither he can avail treatment nor he is able to meet the educational expenses of his daughter studying in 10th standard. Having learned about his situation, the Chief Minister asked the concerned officials to take necessary initiatives. The Chief Minister had patiently heard issues of persons coming from different areas today. Many of them came to ask for asking assistance in treatment. Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of Education department Saradindu Chowdhury, West Tripura District Magistrate Debapriya Bardhan and Medical Officer of Tripura Health Services, Dr Dibyendu Bikash Das were also present in ‘Mukhyamantri Samipeshu’ programme today.
