Multiple steps taken to enhance quality education in TTAADC: CM
Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Friday said that the present State Government has undertaken multiple initiatives for the expansion of quality education in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Areas (TTAADC) and is actively working towards developing an Education Hub in the state.
Dr Saha said while addressing the students, teachers, and others gathered at the Diamond Jubilee celebration of Prachya Bharati School. He also inspected a blood donation camp organized as part of the event.
“Educational institutions are like temples. They lay the foundation of our lives, and everyone shares a close relationship with their school and college. The state government is committed to promoting quality education. Initiatives have been taken to enhance the quality of education for school and college students by utilizing the state's natural resources and developing skills. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized Digital India, and his Marg Darshan also underscores the importance of digital education in the state. Education flourishes through literary culture and creative activities. Qualitative education develops only when literary culture improves,” he remarked.
Dr Saha highlighted that the Diamond Jubilee celebration of Prachya Bharati School is a truly memorable event.
“The school has undergone many changes over these long years. Arjuna awardee Montu Debnath is an alumnus of this school, who has brought glory to the country and the state in sports. Additionally, the school is involved in various social activities, and support is provided to poor meritorious students for their studies,” he added.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the National Education Policy has been launched to secure the future of students, and they will benefit from it.
“Several Bengali medium schools have been converted to English medium schools. The Super Thirty project has been launched, and special attention has been given to the expansion of education in TTAADC areas. Furthermore, the state government has initiated various other important projects to enhance the quality of education,” he explained.
Former Chairman of Tripura Khadi Board, Rajib Bhattacharya, along with teachers from the school, were present as special guests on the occasion.
