Negligence in duty, auditor of Satchand block suspended
The Election Commission of India (ECI) is leaving no stone unturned to ensure free and fair assembly elections and is now taking one after one bold step for smooth election process and in its latest edition a government official of the Satchand RD Block has been suspended due to the dereliction in election duty.
Bidhan Chandra Roy, Returning Officer (RO) of Sabroom sub-division said that a Satchand RD block official Bikash Bhowmik, Auditor, has been suspended for negligence in election duty.
Sources said that Bhowmik was non-cooperating with the administration in different ways to create hindrances in the election works. It was alleged that despite several phone calls from the officers, he did not attend and kept silent. The matter was reported to the higher authority to take appropriate legal action against the unruly and disobedient government official. Finally, he was put under suspension from the service by the South district administration office on Sunday.
It may be recalled here that earlier, the SDPO(Jirania) was suspended and with two officer-in-charge (OC) of Jirania and Ranirbazar police stations were removed by the Commission all government employees engaged in election work have already been informed not to leave the station without obtaining permission from the district election officer.
