New Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu sworn in at Raj Bhavan
The new Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu takes oath of office at Raj Bhavan on Thursday administered by Chief Justice of High Court of Tripura, Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh.
Earlier, on Wednesday afternoon the new Governor Nallu has given a rousing reception afternoon at New Raj Bhavan of Tripura in presence of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Chief secretary, DGP, cabinet members and other dignitaries, who has been received at Agartala airport by Chief Minister and other dignitaries.
After arrival at New Raj Bhavan, the new Tripura Governor has also been given a formal guard of honour by TSR jawans in presence of cabinet members, Chief Secretary, DGP and other dignitaries.
While, after swearing-in-ceremony, the new Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu speaking with media persons said that “I wish to thank to the President of India for giving me the responsibility of Tripura Governor and will see my best for the development of Tripura and I want to bring the transparency, empowerment and accountability. With cooperation of the state government and Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, we will do the best for the people of Tripura.”
Meanwhile, the outgoing Governor of Tripura Satyadeo Narain Arya has also given a farewell ‘guard of honour’ during a programme held at Raj Bhavan in Agartala on Tuesday last.
Earlier, on October 18, the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu appointed Indra Sena Reddy Nallu as Governor of Tripura replacing Satyadeo Narain Arya.
Official communiqué said that the President of India has also appointed former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das as Governor of Odisha. Newly appointed Tripura governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu is BJP leader from Telangana state.
