NLU, Tripura successfully concludes 5-day national faculty development workshop on reimagining academia under NEP 2020
National Law University, Tripura successfully concluded a Five-Day National Faculty Development Workshop on “Reimagining Academia: Curriculum Designing, Teaching, Evaluation, Research, and Publication in the Light of the New Education Policy (NEP)”, held from 17–21 December 2025. The workshop aimed to strengthen academic capacities of faculty members especially in Tripura in alignment with the transformative vision of the National Education Policy 2020.
The programme featured intensive and engaging sessions on key contemporary themes, including NEP 2020 and higher education reforms, continuous assessment and evaluation methods, interdisciplinary research approaches, clinical legal education, and research project writing. These sessions provided both conceptual clarity and practical insights for improving teaching-learning processes and research output in higher education institutions.
Eminent and acclaimed academicians and experts from National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bengaluru, National Law University Delhi, West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU) Jabalpur, India International University of Legal Education and Research (IIULER) Goa, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Jindal Global University, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) Hyderabad, and Vital Strategies New Delhi served as resource persons. They actively interacted with participants, fostering rich academic discussions and cross-institutional learning.
The workshop witnessed the participation of around 50 faculty members from various higher education institutions across the State of Tripura, reflecting a strong regional engagement and commitment to academic reform and capacity building. The programme was organized with the generous support of the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Tripura, whose encouragement and assistance were instrumental in the successful conduct of the workshop. Prof. Yogesh Pratap Singh founding Vice-Chancellor, National Law University, Tripura expressed his gratitude to all resource persons, participants, and supporting institutions, and reaffirmed its commitment to advancing quality teaching, research excellence, and academic innovation in line with NEP 2020.
