Old lady hacked to death by unknown assailants in Jirania
In a brutal incident, an old lady was murder by some unknown miscreants at Chintakobra Para village under Jirania police of West Tripura on the festival evening of Makar Sankranti.
Soon after the incident of brutal murder, SP(West Tripura), Namit Pathak along with SDPO(Jirania) rushed to the post and started investigation in association with forensic team, fingerprint experts and dog squad to collect all circumstantial evidence .
Giving details, SP (West), Namit Pathak said that on Wednesday some neighbours of an old lady, identified R Debbarma noticed she was lying on the floor of her house in a pool of blood.
They immediately informed the police and a police team along with forensic, fingerprints experts and a dog squad rushed to the spot and started an investigation to trace the assailants. Police noticed that the lady had suffered multiple cut injuries and prima-facie shows that she was hacked to death by unknown assailants, said SP.
He said that in the primary stage of investigation, the police team had collected all circumstantial evidence and sent the body to the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Pathak added that those involved with his brutal murder of an old lady will be arrested soon.
