ONGC Tripura asset unveils its main gate with a brand-new Look
With aesthetics that not merely showcase ONGC’s invaluable contributions to the country’s energy system across the value-chain but the Energy Maharatna’s commitment and love for the state of Tripura as well, ONGC Tripura Asset on Friday evening inaugurated a new-look Main gate area of its Badharghat base office complex in the presence of asset manager Tarun Malik, other senior officers and executives of the organization.
Already the state’s pre-eminent Corporate, ONGC has, over the past 60 years, also developed deep connections with the region’s people and its culture. The design sensibilities of this newly branded Main gate area thus draw inspiration from this hugely productive relationship – reasserting ONGC’s stature among its local stakeholders while paying homage to the state’s distinctive natural landscape and cultural ethos.
While unveiling the Main gate complex, executive Director and Asset Manager of Tripura asset Tarun Malik, accompanied by senior officers of the asset, stated how the newly branded area is a fitting tribute to ONGC’s long standing partnership with Tripura. “The holy land of Maa Tripureswari has been generous to ONGC… showering us with blessings that continue to bolster ONGC’s growth in the region and thereby helping us play our part in spurring development and providing employment opportunities here and this visually pleasing Main gate area is our way of expressing our commitment and gratitude to this beautiful place”.
The newly inaugurated area includes murals on both sides of ONGC Tripura Asset’s Maingate, depicting the operational spread and impact of ONGC’s energy business on the one side and, on the other; the murals showcase several of Tripura’s iconic cultural landmarks as well as its natural heritage. It also has bronze sculptures of ONGCians – a woman and a man – working at a ‘Christmas tree’ which is an important operational structure in the oil and gas business, highlighting the equitable role of women power in ONGC. Additionally, a video-wall that will display ONGC’s local and national achievements as well as operational images and films for a wider public consumption on a regular basis.
That the new-look Main gate area has been inaugurated on the last day of the current financial year marks a fitting end to FY '2022-23, as it has been an especially robust year for ONGC Tripura Asset in terms of its operational performance. Not only has it achieved its highest ever daily gas production (5.193 MMSCMD) and highest-ever gas sale (5.181 MMSCMD) during the year, the Asset is also likely to record its highest ever annual gas output (approx. 1675 MMSCM) surpassing the mark of 1634 MMSCM set in FY’2020-21.
