Per capita incomes of Tripura will Rs. 3 lakh in next 3 years, Union Minister Narayan Rane
Along with entire efforts of Union government, the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has given its maximum initiatives to increase the per capita income of Tripura’s people from its existing 1.25 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh within next 3 years, said Union Minister Narayan Rane.
Addressing a press conference here at Pragna Bhavan on Monday afternoon after the regional conference on sustainable development of MSMEs in Northeast region, the Union Minister Rane said that the conference is being organized to spread awareness of various schemes of the Ministry and showcase various initiatives of the union ministry and state government.
He said that during the conference many schemes has been launched including RAMP(Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance), linking of NER portal under Udyam Shakti, inauguration of Gomati Gas project and West Tripura bamboo mat cluster under SFURTI scheme, inauguration of new building of Khadi and Village U=Industries Commission (KVIC) and Tripura Khadi and Village Industries Board (TKVIB) etc.
He said that for inclusive growth in the entire Northeast region, the Ministry of MSME has implemented various schemes to promote entrepreneurship. He said that efforts are being made to promote entrepreneurship amongst the youths of the region to create a conducive ecosystem where they play an integral role in development of the country’s economy to realize the 5 trillion USD economy.
Rane said that so far Tripura is second the state of the NE region after Assam, where maximum funds has been provided for MSME. At present the per capita income of India is Rs. 1.80 lakh, whereas it stands at Rs. 1.25 lakh for Tripura, said Rane and added that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given maximum emphasis to the states, where the per capita income is less than the country's average and thus, special initiatives have been taken for Tripura to make it Rs. 3 lakh within next three years.
“Our aim is clear that along with the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan or Self-reliant India campaign, the Atmanirbhar Tripura campaigns should be strengthened for overall growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the state,” said Rane. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has often mentioned about providing necessary assistance to the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises for development of the Northeast states, said Rane and added that as a result of sincere efforts of the present state government, Tripura is moving ahead on the path of development today.
He said that there are lots of schemes with high subsidies for MSME including separate schemes and incentives for SC and ST communities. He hoped that with expansion of different MSME schemes for the youths of Tripura, the employment generation will be accelerated in coming days.
During the press meet Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, chairman of KVIC, Manoj Kumar, Secretary of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, B. B. Swain and Secretary of Industry & Commerce department of Tripura Abhishek Chandra were also present.
