The court sends him to five days police remand for further interrogation.
Dasgupta said that accused was by profession a day labourer and often engaged with daily squabble issuing petty domestic subjects and the family had suffering from acute financial crisis as Kayem Miah often stay in his rented home instead of going to his daily works, which had also often led to fighting and hot altercation among themselves.
Police sources said that Kayem was an alcoholic and every night engaged in fierce fighting with his wife and similarly on ill-fated night of Thursday, he after a hot altercation had attacked his wife with a sharp weapon and beheaded her body.
Later, the accused had also cut the lifeless body of Tanuja into pieces and dumped it in an arum field in the Subash Palli area near his house.
After arrest, accused had also tried to mislead the investigation team and police scientific evidence and verifying CCTV footage of Agartala smart city have assured that he was misleading the police team as he cannot dump the body at river Howrah in Battala area.
After getting some clues, police recovered the body in the same area, where the crime had been committed.
