Giving details, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sonamura police station, Tapash Das said that on Thursday morning during regular police patrolling along with BSF jawans, security forces noticed some abandoned bags lying in a deserted area of NC Nagar border.
In the course of searching these unclaimed bags, forces recovered huge quantities of Yaba tablets, weighing 2.5 kilograms and 12 more kilograms of dry Ganja from two plastic drugs.
Police seized these drugs, worth above rupees crores and registered a specific case under NDPS Act.
