Royal Enfield bike recovers from a border area before smuggle, bike lifter arrested

In a successful operation, the Agartala city before smuggling it to Bangladesh managed to recover a stolen Motorbike from bordering Konaban area under Sepahijala district on Friday and has also arrested accused bike lifter.

Giving details officer-in-charge (OC) of East Agartala police station, Subrata Debnath said that one Royal Enfield motorbike has been stolen from the house of one Bikram Debbarma, near Girl Bodhjung School of Banamalipur on March 22nd midnight.

Later, the owner of the bike registered a complaint at East Agartala police station and police during investigation of the case and analyzing the scientific evidences and CCTV footage, on Friday with help of Madhupur police station managed to trace the stolen bike near Konabon border, which has been stored at that point from smuggle into Bangladesh.

OC said that after recovery of the stolen bike, police have also arrested accused bike lifter Bishal Das of Bishalgarh area. He said that accused bike lifter has been produced before a local court with police remand appeal for further interrogation.
