Sovereignty of country must be protected by everyone: CM
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha said on Tuesday that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ has been initiated to foster a sense of patriotism among future generations and to pay tribute to the martyrs.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in 2022. The sovereignty of the country must be protected by all,” he said.
Dr Saha said while paying tribute to the martyrs at Albert Ekka Park in Lichubagan, Agartala. At the beginning of the program, Dr Saha paid his respects by placing wreaths at the Albert Ekka Memorial.
On the occasion, Dr Saha emphasized that this program was undertaken to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the protection of the country.
“Future generations should always remember these brave martyrs. The path of the martyrs must be followed. The main goal of our country is brotherhood,” he added.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the '75 Border Villages, ‘Kranti Veero Ke Naam' and 'Mera Mati, Mera Desh' programs as additional initiatives to pay tribute to the martyrs.
He further mentioned that the present state government is working towards the development of health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and the communication system for the benefit of the people, all while adhering to the vision of patriotism.
“This government is constantly striving to advance the state through various schemes,” he said.
Former MLA Dilip Kumar Das, Social Worker Rajib Bhattacharya, Bipin Debbarma, and Mukul Chandra Roy were also present at the event.
