Teachers’ Council, IQAC and NCC Unit of MBB College organised an awareness programme on Vigilance Week
The Teachers’ Council, IQAC and NCC Unit of Maharaja Bir Bikram College, Agartala had organised an awareness programme on Vigilance Week on November 5th, 2025 in the Smart Classroom of the new Science building.
The programme started with a felicitation of the guests on the dais, followed by watering of the sapling. The welcome address was delivered by Dr DEEPA GHOSH (Associate Professor) Secretary, Teachers’ Council. In her address, Dr Ghosh spelt out the need and importance of the awareness programme. Following this, a speech by Dr Gaurab Roy (Associate Professor), ANO, NCC Unit, MBB College. In his speech, Dr Roy put forward the role of all the stakeholders in a true sense to fight against corruption and to maintain the righteousness of truth.
Thereafter, the Guest Speaker, Jeremia Darlong, TPS, SP (Vigilance), delivered his address. In his address, Darlong urged all sections of the society to be alert and extend their full cooperation to maintain the integrity, transparency and accountability in public life to fight against corruption. Following this, the Chairperson, Dr Nirmal Bhadra, Principal, MBB College, put forward the message to build public awareness about the dangers of corruption and encourage participation in the fight against it.
At the end, a pledge was taken by all present in the programme. The entire programme was compered by Dr Surojit Sengupta, Associate Professor, MBB College.
