Telemedicine can provide advanced health services in state: CM
CM brings relief to families in need through Mukhya Mantri Samipeshu
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Thursday said that the state government wants to help people to the best of its ability and put a smile on their faces.
He said that it is better for the people of the financially weaker sections of the state not to spend money unnecessarily by going outside the state for treatment unless they have special needs.
“It is now possible to provide advanced medical services in many cases within the state. Advanced medical services can be availed with the help of telemedicine services,” said Dr. Saha.
On Thursday, Dr Saha said this while talking to people from different parts of the state who have come with medical and other problems in the 62nd episode of Mukhya Mantri Samipeshu.
At the Chief Minister's official residence, Dr. Saha listened to the problems of people seeking medical and other help in the Mukhya Mantri Samipeshu program and took initiatives to solve the problems.
Recently, the son of Anukul Das of Anandnagar No. 10 Para passed away in a tragic accident. Today, the Chief Minister handed over a cheque of Rs. 4 lakh to Anukul Das as assistance in the Mukhya Mantri Samipeshu program.
The son of a very poor Bijankanya Malsom from Paschim Taichlong village of Amarpur subdivision had come seeking help for his father's medical treatment. After hearing everything, the Chief Minister ordered the officials of the health department to provide Bijankanya with immediate treatment and all the necessary medicines.
Swapan Pal from Ganki in Khowai district has come seeking help for his daughter with complex aplastic anemia, and Biswajit Dhar from Dharmanagar has come seeking help for his own complex aplastic anemia. The Chief Minister directed the officials of the concerned department to quickly arrange advanced treatment for both.
Besides, Shyamlikanya Jamatia of MBB College area of Agartala, Bishnupriya Sutradhar of South Jaynagar of Agartala spoke to the Chief Minister for her father's heart disease treatment; Hena Begum of Ramnagar of Agartala for her husband's treatment; Ratna Gupta of Milan Chakra of Agartala for her son's treatment; and Manmohan Saha of Dighalia of Singerbil for his heart disease treatment and requested help.
Also present were Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department Kiran Gitte, Secretary of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department Tapas Roy, Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Samit Roy Chowdhury, Director of the Health Department Dr. Debashree Debbarma, Medical Superintendent of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital Dr. Shirmani Debbarma, Medical Superintendent of GBP Hospital Dr. Bidhan Goswami, Sadar Subdivision SDM Maniklal Das, and other officials.
