Two minor boys detained by public with a stolen motorbike at Udaipur
Two minor boys were detained by a group of people at Udaipur town of Gomati district on Sunday afternoon, when they tried to change the lock system of a stolen motorbike.
Sources said that two tribal minor boys from Dewanbari village of Amarpur on Saturday night lifted a motorbike from the market and on Sunday morning they along with the stolen motorbike arrived at Udaipur town to change the locks and keys of the bike.
When both minors ( Khatan Jamatia and Indra Jamatia), aged about 15 to 16 years, contacted a bike mechanic at his shop at Udaipur town, the shop owner over suspicion asked both boys where they had taken the motorbike.
After they were unable to give any suitable reply, the bike mechanic called other shop owners, and both boys tried to escape from the spot.
Later, they were detained by locals and they confessed that they had stolen the bike on Saturday night and brought it to Udaipur town to change the locks and key of the bike.
The local shopkeepers informed RK Pur police station and police arrested both boys and seized the stolen motorbike.
Police sources said that they registered a stolen case and started an investigation to identify the actual owner of the bike. Police also said that both arrested accused will hand over to juvenile justice for further legal proceedings.
