Two missing Agartala boys bring back from Mumbai
Tripura police on Thursday returned back two class eight students of Hindi HS school of Agartala from Mumbai, who went missing on March 7th after attending tuition classes and handed over them to their respective parents.
Speaking with media persons with two rescued boys and their parents, SP(West) Kiran Kumar on Thursday evening said that two boys were traced at Mumbai and have been found safe in Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station on Tuesday night -- five days after they left home .The two teenagers had gone to their tuition classes on March 7 , both are the students of Class 8 of Hindi HS school and they never returned home, prompting the guardians to inform the police.
Kumar said that to bring them back to Agartala , a two-member Tripura Police team on Wednesday left for Mumbai with their parents.
The parents of the missing students filed a missing entry at the East Agartala police station, prompting a special investigation, said SP (West Tripura) Kiran Kumar and added that the students had informed their parents before leaving that they intended to return after achieving something.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha through his social media said that ‘few days ago, two students Omkar Chakraborty and Prithivi Debbarma of Barjala area of Agartala went missing , when the matter came to light before me, instantly ordered police to investigate the matter. Due to timely efforts of Tripura police, both boys were rescued from Mumbai and they will be brought to Agartala and will hand over them to their respective parents.” Chief Minister also praised the efforts of Tripura police for rescuing both boys.
Kumar said that the efforts of the Chief Minister, DGP and DGP(Intelligence) has helped that investigation to trace them at Mumbai and today a very cheerful day for Tripura that within five days both missing boys were handed over to their parents.
He also requested all parents to be careful and should monitor all activities of their children as nowadays, children learn lots of good and bad things from TV and mobile, so parents should always be alert.
It may be recalled here that following a coordinated effort between the police and the parents, a special team successfully traced the students to Mumbai on March 12th.
The timely intervention of law enforcement and the cooperation between authorities and the parents led to the swift resolution of the case, bringing relief to the concerned families.
