Two youths died at spot after crashing with a bus
In a tragic road mishap two youths including a Higher Secondary examination candidate and a university student died on the spot , when their speeding motorbike crashed with a passenger bus coming from opposite direction in heavy speed at Birchandra area of Manu under South Tripura district on Sunday.
Sources said that both youths identified as Antar Das (19) of Samarendranagar area of Sabroom, a Higher Secondary examination candidate and another one Hridhoy Debnath (22) of same area, a student of Tripura University were proceeding towards Agartala from Samarendranagar via Nalua and Belonia on Sunday afternoon.
When, both youths through their motorbike in heavy speed reached near Birchandra area of Manu collided face on with a passenger bus, which was coming from Agartala.
As a result, after a heavy crash with the bus, both youths were knocked out in a roadside ditch. Immediately, local people and firefighters rushed to the spot and they recovered both youths. Among the critically injured youths, one was found dead at the spot and another on the way to Belonia hospital died.
Later, both bodies were shifted to Belonia hospital morgue for autopsy and when, their parents and relatives rushed to the hospital, a pall of gloom descended in the entire hospital amidst crying of their relatives.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Belonia police station Paritosh Das said that the bus was on the right track, but the speeding motorbike crashed with the bus from the wrong side. Police seized both the motorbike and bus.
