In a shocking incident, thieves removed the wheels of a newly purchased Bolero pickup vehicle under the cover of darkness at Shani Bazar area under Sidhai police station under West Tripura district.
According to reports, local resident Swapan Debbarma had purchased the Bolero pickup just six days ago. The vehicle was parked in front of his house on Saturday night.
However, when he woke up early in the morning, he was shocked to find that the wheels of his newly purchased vehicle had been removed and stolen by unidentified thieves.
Following the incident, Swapan Debbarma informed the police. A police team reached the spot and launched an investigation into the theft.
The vehicle owner said that this was the second time that the wheels of his vehicle had been stolen. He suspected that drug users might be involved in the incident.
The incident has caused concern among local residents, who are now waiting to see whether police can identify and apprehend those responsible for the theft.
