Woman injured in road mishap died on way to hospital after firefighters vehicle stuck in traffic jam
In a tragic road accident three persons suffered critical injuries and one of them died on way to hospital, after a firefighters van got stuck in a massive traffic jam at Bishalgarh Bazar on Tuesday.
Police sources said one motorcycle and its rider Bikash Debnath (39) with his pillion rider Nanigopal Debbarma (60) in heavy speed dashed on pedestrian, identified as Tulsi Nama (65) at Lalsimura Bazar of Bishalgarh under Sepahijala district on Tuesday afternoon. After dashing the women, both the bike rider and his pillion rider also fell at the road side at heavy speed and suffered critical injuries.
After the accident, local people and firefighters immediately rushed to the spot and firefighters boarded all the injured persons in their vehicle and moved toward Bishalgarh Hospital. But, unfortunately the firefighter's vehicle struck in a massive traffic jam at Bishalgarh Bazar and forcefully, they diverted their road and moved towards the hospital through Bypass road.
When the vehicle reached Bishalgarh hospital, visiting doctors started treatment of all injured persons, but during treatment injured lady Tulsi Namo succumbed due to her critical injuries and flowing of excessive blood.
Hospital doctors, speaking with media persons said that Tulsi Namo died of excessive blood flow and another two injured persons including bike rider Bikash Debbarma and his pillion rider Nanigopal Debbarma were admitted to hospital.
