Young bank cashier died in a road mishap, leaves Charilam village speechless
Despite month long massive awareness initiative by Traffic unit of Tripura police ‘ Zero death’ in road traffic accident (RTA), the fatalities through road accidents has been continues and its latest edition one young bank cashier died on the spot on his way to home on Friday midnight after his motorbike crushed with a loaded truck in heavy speed.
Police sources said that Harihar Debnath alias Suman of Thalabhanga village of Charilam under Sepahijala district, a Bandhan bank cashier posted at Teliamura, on Friday night with his motorbike was returning home after his office from Teliamura.
After he reached Badharghat area of Agartala in the midnight, Harihar with a motorbike crashed into a standing loaded truck and died on the spot.
After the tragic road accident, firefighters shifted him to GB Hospital, where visiting doctors declared him brought.

Deceased Harihar Debnath, a father of one child, was the sole bread earner of his family.
Upon hearing the news of her son’s death in a bike accident, his mother, Maharani Debnath, collapsed unconscious in the courtyard of their home. His father, Krishnadhan Debnath, has been crying inconsolably, wailing in grief. His only sister, Kajal Debnath, was seen clinging to employees who arrived from the Bandhan Bank, screaming “brother, brother” while breaking down in tears.
The heart-rending scenes have brought the entire Charilam Thalabhanga village to tears.
On Saturday morning, Gobinda Sutradhar, a Bandhan Bank official from Teliamura Division rushed to the bereaved family’s home. Speaking to the media, he stated that Harihar was the cashier of Bandhan Bank’s branch-2 of Teliamura, and assured that as per procedure, his family would be provided with all entitled benefits and support of the bereaved family.
