Youth arrested with large quantities of Ganja from Agartala railway station
The Government Railway Police (GRP) posted at Agartala railway station again on Thursday arrested a smuggler with dry Cannabis (Ganja), who was trying to board a Silchar bound train.
Giving details officer-in-charge (OC) of GRP station of Agartala, Tapash Das said that during regular checking of trains, the personnel of GRP along with RPF noticed the suspected movement of a youth in a platform, who was trying to board in the Silchar bound train with two trolley bags and a backpack .
Then, security forces detained and during a search in his bags, they recovered 41 kilograms of dry Ganja.
Later, accused smuggler, identified as Rahul Dey (25)of Tablabari area of Khowai was arrested with a specific case of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and forwarded him to a local court in Agartala with police remand appeals for interrogation.
