Youth of the nation will have to determine as to how ‘Future India’ shall be, Anurag Singh Thakur
Youth of the nation will have to decide on how to shape the ‘Future India’ and the youth of the nation must come together in the overall development of the nation in the golden period of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, said Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports Anurag Singh Thakur.
Inaugurating Yuva Samvad-India @ 2047 programme organized by Nehru Youth Centre, Tripura Division at Rabindra Bhavan Friday , Thakur said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid his faith in the youth of the country to build India as a world leader of 21st century. Development of the country requires cooperation of the youths rather than their sacrifice. The youth have to come forward hand in hand against pollution, illiteracy, addiction, terrorism etc. the youth have to make efforts to strengthen the democratic structure of the country.
Union YAS Minister in the programme said, youth are the future of nation building. With this belief, they must take the nation ahead in future. Country’s proud history, heritage, culture must be brought to the world through the youth in the G-20 conference held in India for the first time. How the youth of the nation perceive the progress of India and the world discussed in Y-20 Talks and Walks organized in different universities will be brought up in front of G-20 countries. In this regard, he mentioned about conducting such program in Tripura as well. He also said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently launched Green National Hydrogen Mission to keep the future generation safe from pollution. As a result, 8 lakh crore rupees will be invested in the country. Direct income source will be generated for 8 lakh people. The import price of raw oil of 1 lakh crore rupees will be decreased by 2030.
The Union Minister lauded YAS Minister of Tripura Sushanta Chowdhury for taking important role in improving quality of sports in the state.
YAS Minister of Tripura Sushanta Chowdhury in the programme said, one’s way of thinking can change life and the society. The Minister called on the youth to come forward to cooperate with the central and state government in building new India based on the principles of Swami Vivekananda. He said, when the country will step into 100th year of achieving Independence in 2047, the youth of the nation must play a significant role to take India ahead following the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik also spoke on the occasion. Others present in the programme were Director of YAS department Subikash Debbarma, State NSS officer Dr. Chitrajit Bhowmik and gymnast Dipa Karmakar. The Union YAS Minister was felicitated on behalf of different sports organizations in the programme. After the programme, the Union YAS Minister interacted with students.
