Germany: Twenty hurt after Ferris wheel at music festival catches fire
At least 20 people were injured after a Ferris wheel at a music festival caught fire in Germany on Saturday, media reports said.
Several images of the incident that have gone viral on the social media showed two carriages of the ride were on fire.
The incident happened at the Highfield Festival near the city of Leipzig.
According to a statement from Saxony police, the ride caught fire shortly after 9 p.m. local time, for reasons that are still unclear, reported CNN.
Four people suffered from burn injuries due to the incident, the statement said, while another was treated for injuries from falling.
The area was cordoned off after the fire tragedy.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
