Indian-origin man kills 71-year-old sex offender in California, says it was 'really fun'
Fremont/IBNS: An Indian-origin man, named Varun Suresh, has been charged with murder for stabbing a 71-year-old sexual offender in Fremont, California, media reports said.

David Brimmer, a convicted child sex trafficker, was killed by the 29-year-old Indian-origin man with multiple stabs.
Brimmer died despite receiving emergency aid.
The probe has found Varun used California's Megan Law database to locate Brimmer, who had no personal connection with the attacker.
Varun confessed to police that he wanted to kill a sex offender for a long time. He said the sex offenders "hurt children" and "deserve to die".

Varun carried a knife and reached at the doorstep of the victim posing as a certified public accountant with a bag, notebook and coffee for a convincing look.
After formal greetings, when Brimmer fled the scene and unsuccessfully attempted to stop a car for help, he took refuge in a neighbour's garage and kitchen.
Varun chased him down, stabbed in his neck. When Brimmer tried to crawl and escape the scene, the attacker slit his throat.
The attacker told the investigators that he chose Brimmer as his target considering his age and vulnerability.
Suresh admitted that he sought out registered sex offenders as potential victims.
"Honestly really fun," said Varun describing his act.
Brimmer had served nine-year jail term for child sexual assault in 1995.
Varun, who expressed no remorse at his act, was earlier arrested in 2021 for making a fake bomb threat, criminal threats and burglary by leaving a bag at Hyatt Place in Fremont.
